ADHD Culture is fully grasping a concept or finding a solution to an issue really super fast because your amazing racing brain immediately connected all the dots, and then becoming excruciatingly bored and frustrated when everyone around you is still not getting it (this goes double if you’ve already stepped in to try to explain it or if you’re not allowed to step in to explain it).

ADHD Culture is also not fully grasping a concept super fast, or even in an average amount of time, because your disastrous traitor brain lost focus on the explanation after approximately one (1) second and started thinking about something else, and then panicking because everyone around you seems to know what’s going on but you don’t.

It’s also quickly grasping a concept or finding a solution but being super terrible at actually implementing it because you forget to or because ADHD symptoms otherwise trip you up, and getting frustrated when people continually assume that the problem is that you don’t understand what you’re supposed to do.

shout out to the girls that hate their bodies but are trying really really hard to find the beauty and comfort in them because that shit is hard and takes a lot of time and is emotionally exhausting. i’m proud of y’all.

the wholeΒ β€œi used to be a teen who hated authority only to grow up to become the authority that hates teens” is a bad bad thing that practically every other generation has fallen into and we all need to make an extremely conscious effort not to repeat the fucking pattern

Studies have shown that the shift starts to happen around age 30. If you’re close to that, make a conscious effort to be open to and accepting of younger people. I’m 31 and paying close attention to how I react to young people and new trends and shit and trying to keep myself from developing those thought patterns.
