fuck your “lol cringe XD” mindset

im glad this post is spreading but some of the notes are super depressing. a good half of it is people telling their own stories of being made fun of for having “cringy” interests or ideas, which i think proves my point pretty well.

please stop judging people for having fun

i wish yall didn’t start that whole “using gender neutral pronouns on someone counts as misgendering” shit because now i have anons making assumptions about my pronouns instead of being considerate and using something that is literally intended to keep people from feeling hurt that they were misgendered

like im saying this right now: if you don’t know or remember my pronouns, it’s totally acceptable to just use they/them pronouns. It was always acceptable to refer to someone with gender neutral pronouns, but this hellsite loves to spread misinformation for the sake of having a moral high ground.

using gender neutral pronouns isn’t “degendering”. Degendering means to eliminate any references to gender and sex. Such as when the discussion of abortion came up, people were saying “people with penises” instead of men, lumping trans women with misogynistic cis men. Or when the discussion of domestic violence towards women is brought, people sneak in and yell “Well ANYONE can be an abuser”.

People are not taking away someone’s gender for using gender neutral pronouns on them. No one’s calling them agender, nonbinary or whatever. Folks are just trying to be courteous and avoid making harmful assumptions about someone’s actual pronouns.

Like please, can this misinformation  about how people who use they/them pronouns on someone are all TERFs and transphobes stop spreading because it’s getting annoying.
