Tracer’s concept art face versus her in-game face.
the difference between Chad and incel is mere millimeters of bone
concept art tracer: pistol whips everything, makes out with her girlfriend in alleyways mid battle, could probably smash a soda can open with her forehead
ingame tracer: juggles and spins her guns 24/7, texts supportive messages and delivers heartfelt letters, always open to piggyback rides
I don’t really play Reinhardt even though I should bc he’s one of the strongest characters but:
– don’t charge in alone.
-have an Ana with you at all times.
-be the anchor in your team (as in always have people behind you)
-scream everything you say in your most friendly voice
@overwatch I was gonna send an ask but this might get a little long
I’m a reinhardt main and I love giving advice on how to play him because I think so many people don’t use him to his full potential
SO here goes, Reinhardt is definitely one of the strongest heroes in the game when played right. I’ll break down how I use his abilities one by one
Shield – Reinhardt’s bread n butter baby, your most important job is protecting your team and moving your team forward, so don’t let it break as it takes longer to reset than it does to recharge(if it does break dont panic, it happens just back and up if you can or around a corner). Also it’s ok if its not fully recharged, if your shield drops to 250, drop it and let it rehcarge to like 750 and then get it back up, time is wasted letting it charge all the way back to 2000. You also don’t need it up all the time when you’re in a line of fire. Reinhardt has enough health that he can take some hits before he needs to fall back on his shield. Make your healer work and gain ult charge by taking some damage, reinhardt can take it. I like to run up on people and then drop shield, reinhardt it terribly slow when he is using his shield.
Firestrike – an underrated ability, short cooldown, passes throughs shields(but not dvas matrix or zaryas bubble), you can hit multiple people with it and is reins best way to build ult charge. Firestrike like crazy, even if you’re not really making a dent in the enemy team. It’ll be up when you do need it to finish off somebody, since its cooldown is only four(five?) seconds
charge- extremely powerful move when used correctly, but give reinhardt much needed mobility. charge gets you back into the fight, and almost every spawn point on any of the maps has what I call a “charge path”, meaning theres is a path where you can do charge unobstructed and go the entire distance of the charge. Charge is obviously great for picking squishy heroes, but its extremely easy to miss so save it for when you know you can pin somebody. Slept enemies, trapped enemies, frozen enemies are your best targets so working with your team is important when using this ability. Also practice makes perfect when it come to steering reinhardt during a charge. Sometimes charge is a good way to escape a situation or to close the distance between you and your team. things can get hairy during a team fight so charge can be used to regroup. Also while your charging, you can hold down your shield button and reinhardt will instantly shield once the charge ends(provided you didnt run into a wall)
Hammer – Reinhardts baby, doesnt do as much damage as I’d like BUT still incredible. Be aggressive with it, knock people around. Drop shield and go in swinging, then fall back. Utilize the knockback to dissuade reapers and meis trying to get behind your shield, slap em once and then bring shield back up to give yourself breathing room. I play with my sensitivity very high so i can turn quickly to punish people trying to flank me.
thats all off the top of my head, generally be aggressive, take damage, the enemy team will try to focus you down and you want them to so theyre not on your healers/dps. Don’t be afraid of your counters(reaper, junkrat, sombra), just be aware of where they are at all times so you can avoid hacks, traps, and shotguns.
