3.) sometimes u gotta draw guides three times and thats ok just use a new layer each time
4.) use lots of layers when ur doing something new and lower the number once u get used to the technique
5.) mix saturated colors together with less saturated colors
6.) sometimes drawing isnt fun/you dont draw stuff you really like and thats ok! learn to take breaks and even set up some sort of reward system to help motivate yourself
7.) learn how to self motivate yourself this varies from person to person so experiment and try and keep track on what helps you work(I like to use coffee/caffeine+upbeat music(dont overuse things like caffeine tho))
8.) when i first started getting myself to draw everyday i started small dont expect to bust out a ful pic every day sometimes you can only sketch a headshot thats ok! you still drew that day good for you
9.) that being said breaks are important! and so is stretching and making sure you arent fucking up your wrist,
10.) if you can try and associate a room or spot to drawing(this can also be applied to like homework and such) try not to use your bed if you have trouble falling asleep
“We cut a trough into the set, and we put a piece of rigging that goes under the set and into the mother’s stomach. It’s a little creepy, I know. But it allows us to slide her along the surface of the sand, and every time she reaches out and claws into the sand, that’s all a plasticine or clay surface that we have to carve into and move a frame at a time. We’d have little bits of sand that were flying up in the air, so we take these little bits of foam or clay, we put them on bug pins or wires or little bits of fishing line, and we have those elevated and move them a frame at a time to make it look like it’s bursting out of the ground.” – Travis Knight
literally impecable. Im losing my mind
And it all happens so naturally that you never question how it could happen
I’ve never seen the piece of media this is from, but I’m blown away. Even beyond that bit of technical wonder, just how expressive the doll is. The anguish and pain shows so clearly, without being almost comical. A lot of stop animation (even ones I love!) rely so heavily on sound to make the scenes emotionally charged.
this is from Kubo and the Two Strings and the whole film is this stunning
Surprise! Hoenn starters! From my 3rd Gen Pokemonathon, which is unlikely to be finished soon, so you can have these now as a taster. #Pokemon#Hoenn
The idea behind this Pokemonathon was to look at what the original designs are supposed to be based on and elaborate on that in my versions. Most obvious with the Torchic family which is based on the mythological Basan.
