The Mercury specific Public Event is the biggest Public Event in Destiny 2. You will go to areas that are only accessible during the Public Event! The Heroic trigger was not shown but was teased that many content creators who visited Bungie might show the Heroic trigger in their respective videos when they upload them.
Completing a Heroic Public Event seems to drop TWO chests instead of one.
Curse of Osiris will bring in two new strikes, which are integrated into the story of the expansion. You can play through the Strike solo via story mission but have access to it as a 3-person fireteam in the Strike playlist as well. The reason for putting them in the story is to give the Strikes more context within Osiris’ story.
Adventures (or at least some of the Adventures) will have heroic versions and modifiers attached to them!
The Infinite Forest is “technically” not procedurally generated. They have a bunch of random, hand-crafted “puzzle pieces” that fit randomly into a space connecting it to the piece you are standing on while also throwing a random enemy faction at you including Fallen and the Hive.
